About Me
Designer, art director, and creative partner helping businesses look sharper and work smarter.
I’m Brad Horton — a Milwaukee-area designer, art director, and problem solver with more than 15 years of experience creating brands, websites, and marketing tools that help businesses stand out.
I first started working under the name Brad Horton Illustration & Design in 2006, and in 2024 officially incorporated as Brad Horton Design, LLC to better serve a growing roster of clients. Over the years I’ve partnered with companies in manufacturing, landscaping, and creative industries, helping them refresh their identities, modernize their websites, and sharpen the way they communicate. My approach blends strategy with execution — I’m just as comfortable shaping the big picture as I am refining the details.
What keeps me inspired is the variety of work and the people behind it. Every project is an opportunity to solve a new challenge, whether that’s building a cohesive visual system, improving a customer’s online journey, or simply making a brand feel more confident in how it presents itself. Clients value my ability to listen, organize, and translate ideas into design that not only looks good, but works hard.
A little More About Me
I’ve spent my career balancing two sides of design: leading creative direction for established brands and rolling up my sleeves as a hands-on designer. That dual perspective has shaped how I approach every project — thoughtful, strategic, and practical.
My roots are in illustration and storytelling, and those influences still show up in my work today — whether that’s crafting an intuitive user journey or building a visual identity that feels authentic. I believe good design is as much about clarity and consistency as it is about creativity.
Based in the Milwaukee area, I’ve built long-term partnerships with clients across the US, but I also love supporting local businesses looking to grow. At the end of the day, design for me is about connection: helping brands tell their story in a way that resonates and lasts.
Outside of design, I’ve been plant-based for more than a decade and spend much of my free time outdoors with my two sons — both of which keep me grounded and inspired in different ways.
